SHIPPING
INSURANCE (by sea)
In the event of imports, it would be advisable to open a maritime policy, which in its expanded form, would provide coverage of All Risks of loss or damage from any external cause for their goods, excluding losses inherent defect, i.e. , losses attributable to the nature of the goods. It also includes the risks of war, riot, strike and civil commotion.
This coverage would begin at the time the goods leave the supplier’s warehouse and until the goods arrive to your stores, i.e. automatic coverage from warehouse to warehouse.
he coverage would remain in force for a period up to 60 days if the goods remain in customs halls, in the case of imports by sea, air imports for the period of coverage at customs would be 30 days. If the shipments received during the year are not numerous, we could use the system for ensuring maritime certificates, each shipment separately, for which you notify us prior to departure. For these purposes the following information will be needed: • Type of goods to be transported • Limit insured shipment • Origin • Coverage
